Open Banking

What Is Open Banking?

Open Banking is the secure and structured exchange of information between payment service providers through dedicated application programming interfaces (APIs), carried out exclusively with the customer's consent.

With Open Banking, you can authorise licensed payment service providers to access information from your accounts and/or initiate payment transactions on your behalf. Such access is granted only after your confirmation and in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine.

How does it work?

Open Banking enables you to securely share information about your accounts and confirm payments through authorised financial service providers.

1. You choose a service and provide your consent

Another bank or financial service provider submits a request to access information about your accounts or to confirm a payment.

  • You can see exactly which information is being requested.
  • You decide whether to grant access.
  • You know how long your consent will remain valid.

2. The bank exchanges data

Access is granted only within the scope of the permissions you have approved. The other bank or service provider receives only the information for which you have provided consent.

You can view the permissions you have granted and withdraw access at any time in the ProCredit Bank app if it is no longer required.

Data security

The security and protection of customer information is one of the fundamental principles of Open Banking.

ProCredit Bank ensures:

  • access to information only with your confirmed consent;
  • the use of Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) mechanisms;
  • secure information exchange through dedicated APIs;
  • verification of the authorisation and status of third-party payment service providers;
  • continuous monitoring of transactions and information security events.

ProCredit Bank does not share your personalised authentication credentials with third-party payment service providers. Access to accounts is provided exclusively through secure Open Banking mechanisms and only within the scope of the consent you have granted.

What can Open Banking do for you?

Open Banking helps you manage your finances more effectively and benefit from modern digital services.

With your consent, you can:

  • view accounts held with different banks through a single service;
  • access up-to-date information on account balances and transaction history;
  • initiate payments through services provided by other payment service providers;
  • use tools for analysing and planning personal or business finances;
  • automate selected financial processes;
  • integrate banking data with other digital services;
  • receive personalised financial offers based on the consents you have provided;
  • manage and withdraw your permissions at any time.
