Outcome of the “In search of Made in Ukraine” festival

Last weekend, June 28-29, the “In search of Made in Ukraine” festival was held in Kiev. The event was attended by more than 70 Ukrainian producers, including clients of ProCredit Bank who also presented their products. The first “In search of Made in Ukraine” festival, which was organised by the Delo.ua with the support of ProCredit Bank, took place on the outskirts of Kiev at the Razgulyaevo restaurant complex.

Besides the opportunity to display and sell their own goods, all participants could participate in the business programme which included workshops and master classes held by representatives of major Ukrainian companies. It should be noted that business owners showed great interest in the panel discussion where the problems experienced by producers at different stages of the business cycle in the new political and economic conditions were discussed, such as development strategies, construction, promotion of products on the market, consulting and funding opportunities, access to European markets, etc. Julia Savostina, the organiser of Delo.ua, and its chief editor Ekaterina Venzhik moderated the discussions and acted as spokespersons for the entire business side.

The “In search of Made in Ukraine” festival was visited by over 2,000 guests over the two days. No visitor left empty handed. The high quality and originality of the goods on display is further confirmation that Ukrainian goods are strong competitors for their foreign equivalents. Moreover, the price of domestic products is significantly lower, which is particularly important since the currency exchange rate changed at the beginning of 2014.

After the festival was over, both the organisers and the participants went away with the firm decision to continue this project in the future.
