ProCredit Bank increases capital by UAH 121 million
The decision to increase ProCredit Bank’s core capital was made at the shareholders meeting held on 14 April 2015. The aim of the capital increase is to provide for continuous development of lending to SMEs and agricultural producers in Ukraine.
“Over the past year, we have strengthened our dominant position as a bank of choice for Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises and agricultural producers. Despite the difficult situation in the country, we have succeeded in keeping depositors’ confidence and have notably increased the volume of deposits. In 2014, our loan portfolio grew by UAH 1,722 million. Receiving strong backing from our shareholders, being part of the international ProCredit group and being supervised by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) are factors which guarantee ProCredit Bank’s stability and reliability. The decision to increase the bank’s core capital proves our shareholders’ willingness to operate in Ukraine on a long-term basis”, said Victor Ponomarenko, General Manager of ProCredit Bank.
