ProCredit Bank joins the WE Finance Code to strengthen support for women entrepreneurs
ProCredit Bank has announced its accession to the WE Finance Code, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening support for women-led businesses and helping overcome barriers to access to finance.
This marks an important step toward the development of a more inclusive financial ecosystem. In the future, the bank will cooperate with partners and other stakeholders to enhance leadership, improve data quality, and implement effective solutions that foster the growth of women entrepreneurship.
As a signatory to the WE Finance Code, ProCredit Bank undertakes a number of specific commitments, including:
- implementing initiatives to support the development of women-owned businesses;
- appointing a responsible representative at the management level;
- monitoring and reporting the volume of financing provided to such companies.
In addition, the bank will continue expanding and introducing new initiatives and products aimed at supporting women entrepreneurs.
“Supporting women entrepreneurship is not only a matter of equal opportunity, but also an important driver of economic growth. Joining the WE Finance Code is a logical continuation of our responsible banking strategy. We are creating conditions in which women-led businesses have equal access to financial resources and are able to realise their full potential,” said Oleksandr Povshednyi, Chairman of the Management Board of ProCredit Bank.
Following the end of the transition period, ProCredit Bank will regularly report to the National Bank of Ukraine on the implementation of its commitments and the results achieved. This data will be incorporated into the annual global WE Finance Code reports.
The Bank will also ensure transparency and public visibility of this commitment, reaffirming its dedication to the principles of equal access to finance and sustainable business development.
